a Running expedition around Lake Malawi

Self-Supported on Foot

On the 7th of December 2018, Xavier Briel and Naomi Brand  began their journey around one of Africa's great lakes. Starting in the south on the Bakili Muluzi Bridge in Mangochi Town, they successfully circumnavigated clockwise around the lake through Malawi into Tanzania, Mozambique and back into Malawi. a Journey that took 33 days and measured 1482km. 

The Goal

To raise funds for the African Pangolin Working Group (APWG) 


Why

Pangolins are currently recognized as the most heavily traded group of wild mammals on the planet. The APWG strives towards the conservation and protection of all four African pangolin species by generating knowledge, developing partnerships and creating public awareness and education initiatives.
